BP solar was a great solar manufacturer they could not compete with cheap China exports so we are going to throw tax payer's money into reinventing the wheel rather than solving the issues that BP solar had. If Government put tariff on cheap slave labour made panels from China and make it cost effective for manufacturing in Australia then industry will do it. If you try to start with tax payer subsidies and you don't do anything to make it cost effective to manufacturer in Australia then it is just opening a taxpayers funded pit that is just going to constantly need more tax payer funds.
