They're israelis spiritual leaders but they won't support the bloodshed and starvation of newborn babies in Palestine... maybe they're right?
@thomasellner6331 Says:
Torah learning didn't protect during the Shoah , Pogroms , Inquisition , Crusades etc .,
@mirelac8507 Says:
They don’t learn Torah, but the Talmud, rabbinical laws! They should be like all the other Israelis who serve in the army , NOT EXEMPT from it! Otherwise they should be left without support from the government or moved to live by the borders of Israel, especially Gaza! Maybe they’ll change their minds!
@professormcclaine5738 Says:
Congressional Medal of Honour winner Pfc Desmond Doss was a pacifist orthodox Christian and still served with distinction in WW2.
@alankrisher3981 Says:
In the ancient times the priests carry the ark of the covenant when Israel goes to war and they are in the front lines and LORD gives them victory. Now the priests gave multiple excuses to be exempted.
@JA71280 Says:
Ultra Orthodox men don’t work, they don’t contribute anything to the country. They are lazy and love the easy life. All that study, for nothing. Shame on them. May the Almighty being them to justice.
@StevenHadfield-oo4ql Says:
Israel is losing the propaganda war, every hour of every day Aljazeera spill pity for their suffering, dead and injured, which are are always said as being only women and children. It is as though Gazza is a land full of only innocents; where starving, dying; and being mutilated by Israel together with the most powerful nation on earth the USA . If the Israel media don’t begin participating in the propaganda war with as much veracity as their nemesis, the world will forget just how evil Islam fundamentalism truly is and how it threatens the entire world peace, not just that of Israel.
@BE-bs8oe Says:
In fact isn't it so that the religious still are awaiting the prophet Eliyah to come announcing the arrival of the Moshiach, to rebuild the Third Temple...so they tolerate the israéli state, but are waiting for the true Israel to arise from its ashes ???
@mardasman428 Says:
Their entire argument rests on the absurd premise that praying and reading religious books "protects the country". How does that protect the country? No revenue is being generated, nothing is produced, noone is protected, no useful skills are learned. If they at least had something useful to contribute to the country while not serving in the army...

What you see on display Jew hatred by Jews themselves.
@RahelSings Says:
I'm sure that Israeli government could find a way that the ultra-orthodox could serve that does not interfere with their lifestyle. Additionally we must respect the fact that they are the guardians of the Torah. Without the Torah we would not exist. As is slowly being proven in today's world.
@Judith-gj4tz Says:
They could do other services. It is important that there are always people studying thora. So they could do a mixed service. Half year army, half year yeshiva.
@kymben-ivgi366 Says:

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱? Our behavior will click into place ultimately when we come to perceive ourselves as sharing our existence as a single interconnected whole. Until then, we would be wise to at least conceptualize that vision. For instance, we do not see radiation, but when we learn about its harmful effects and the devices that expose us to it, we then develop fear for our exposure to radiation and caution ourselves with certain radiation-emitting devices. It is the same principle regarding our knowledge and feeling of the system of creation we find ourselves in. The vision of us as a single interconnected and interdependent system constitutes the foundation of connection-enriching education, i.e., the understanding that we live in a single integral sphere and that we completely depend on each other. The more we recognize our global interdependence, the more we understand how we each determine the kinds of lives and states we undergo. Moreover, our global connection is an eternal state. We cannot simply put it aside, thinking that one day we will die and then we will escape whatever life we have here. Our global connection is inescapable. Our animal body will die, and it will again appear and perish myriad times, but we are forever included in this sphere of communication among everyone, each of us as special parts of this single, integral and closed system of creation. Therefore, the more we will feel ourselves belonging to a single interconnected system, the more we will feel the basis upon which to behave well with each other.

They must join the armed forces. They must be part of the team
@kakaroto7578 Says:
In a country where women must join the army IT'S RIDICULOUS that they do not.
@crisseven1764 Says:
Joshua, King David, the Maccabees who were levitical priests all fought for their country. The reference by the rabbi to the yashiva or students as the Holy of Hollies which is a reference to the earthly throne of God is total blasphemy. The oral torah is man made. It is an opinion of a bunch of rabbis. Nothing more. These ultra orthodox men and women need to stop acting like pussies and do their part.
@avivacohen8785 Says:
Seculars hate Chareidim Let them come to Yeshivah to learn, and then they don't have to serve

@therealkakkamakkara Says:
prefers to die, but not in the service of the country. what logic. what selfishness. if they don't want to hold a gun, there is enough to do in an army that needs doing for them to find a duty and place.
@adventurer-travelers Says:
Agree 100%
@Eleniya-ec4ig Says:
they can make so much mischief... they should also go fight... what nonsense
@user-ur2xb4um1i Says:
Pure arrogance to not serve!!!
@user-ur2xb4um1i Says:
Absolutely they should serve in some capacity. It is their Torah biblical duty!!! hopefully people have signed up before now! Only the elderly and even then perhaps they can help.

A VERY LOT OF THEM, I HAVE SEEN ARE JUST A BUNCH OF STRANGE LOOKING WHIMPS. IT STRUCK ME IMMEDIATELY. I NEVER EVEN SAW AN ULTRA ORTHODOX MAN UNTIL I LIVED IN NEW YORK CITY. NEVER SAW ONE IN SAN FRANCISCO OR CHICAGO. MY VERY FIRST ENTRY WAS IN THE ALL IMPORTANT SYNOGOGUE, SAFARDIC, IN SOUTH AMERICA. IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT ONE. A RABBI CAME FROM ERETZ YISROEL, UPON COMPLETION. I WAS FORMALLY INTRODUCED TO HIM. HE WAS STANDING OUTSIDE WITH 2 OTHER MEN, HE WAS WAITING TO MEET ME: I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY. I DID ATTEND ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, BUT THE SERVICE WAS COMPLETELY FOREIGN. I TRIED TO COPE, BEST I COULD, BUT THE YOUNG WOMEN IN MY AGE RANGE, EXTREMELY WEALTHY WERE UNAPPROACHABLE. IT WAS AND STILL IS ACTUALLY TRAUMATIZING. FROM WATCHING A DELIGHTFUL FEMALE BROADCASTER IT HAS BEEN REVEALED AND PROVEN A MOST POWERFUL RABBI IS THREATENING TO LEAVE ISRAEL BECAUSE OF THIS. THAT'S TOO BAD, CAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE A VERY IMPORTANT RABBI FOR THE JEWISH PEOPLE. WE WILL MISS HIM, HE'LL MOST LIKELY RETURN. SO, THIS MAN INTERVIEWED SAID HE'D RATHER DIE THAN TO PROTECT ERETZ YISROEL. 🤔 Hmmm. HOW DOES THAT WORK, AS A RELIGIOUS JEW, STUDYING TORAH. WE ARE FORBIDDEN FROM COMMITING THE ACT OF ENDING ONE'S OWN LIFE.
@nowhereman8374 Says:
If it is true for the Israeli Muslims than it should be true for Israeli Jews. Otherwise it is my God is better than your god!
@sherylkruger3344 Says:
I agree, they should not go to the army. Only Torah study will save us
@LeahFriedman-gj9qo Says:
No
@reuvenbisk3220 Says:
But they are willing to accept welfare from the state, just not serve in the army to defend other citizens. Apparently risking your life to save other lives isn’t holy enough.
@hamiltonsarain9608 Says:
Apparently, I was quickly censored. I don't see the comment that I just posted.
@ConnorTilson Says:
Apartheid is rooted in Zionism- the Chief Rabbi has claimed because they are from the Tribe of Levi - they should not have to fight ! 😂😤 Would love to see the Genealogy that backs up that ridiculous claim! 😂😡
@richardshen6404 Says:
You are religious men, join the IDF only on one condition that is Netanyahu's son also be deployed in Gaza FIRST.
@christopherdavidhughes8934 Says:
I offered to do this for free, they didn't have to pay me any ₪. The ultra orthodox community rejected me because of my name and being from a mixed family, and my letter to the IDF is with them. I was going to try for Netzah Yehudah/Nahal Haredi which is the religious sector of the military. I am half Jew, half Celt/Germanic with names in my immediate family Anglicized Yiddish and family that I have seen and researched from a dna test living everywhere from Ireland/Wales/Scotland/south of France to Iberia, Morocco, Poland and Easten Europe and Balkans to Sardinia and Persia. NO ₪. And all you hear from them in the community is "YOU'RE NOT JEWISH!!" My Grandpa on my Mothers side was, my Great Grandmother on my Fathers side was, my Nana on my Mom's side was a mix with family from Ireland with a name that gets translated to Viking and I have tribal connections from most of the diaspora including Ethiopia! "YOU'RE NOT JEWISH!!!" Well who is going to fight to protect you guys then?! Only the Kohen or Levites should be exempt from battle, as is my understanding

I support Israel 100% but I'm not up to speed on their internal politics. So Benny Gantz wants to shield the Ultra Orthodox and Netanyahu wants them to serve? Is this the gist of this internal power struggle?

The whole world already wakes up to Israel atrocities for years but to some peoples they still sleeping and dreaming.

They want their freedom faught for them but not have to risk their lives like others do. I say no way can they be exempt. If they refuse to go - charge them or expel them

Bibi has got to go!
@tzinanechumah Says:
Perhaps seen as an IDF congregational Rabbi, they could lead daily services, supervise Kosher kitchens, teach Parshat,.... and defend Israel, while receiving extra credits from Yishiva. This extra credit program will take some time to evolve into a workable plan, but I think its a goal worth striving for.

Good call. They’re needed or they won’t have any studies to engage in. Sorry but they must do their bit in this crisis. Stop being inflexible Orthodox people
@user-ed3yi2nv9g Says:
They need to study and contribute. You can learn Torah and protect Israel.
@user-ed3yi2nv9g Says:
Moshe Rabbeinu went to war. Joshua went to war, Avraham Avenue went to war, David Ha melech went to war.
