If an when the USA is successful in undermining the growth of China, it will just as soon turn its attention to the next countries in line to threaten the dominance of the USA over the rest of the world. Every country that the USA co-opt to block the advancement of China will be the next in line to suffer the wrath of the USA. The treatment of Russia and China after both countries as allies of the US during the 2nd World War should be an example of how the US treats those it see as a possible threat to its primacy.
The USA has no friends. IT has interests, and it's sole permanent interest is to maintain it's position of PRIMACY, over the population of the planet.
That will never change if the USA has anything to do to make it so.
