The reason Scott does not look so bad now - is just how inept - labor are. It sill does not excuse - his deep personal flaws - that don't gel with his religious "bent." How would Morrison react - if that was one of his daughters. And that's how you frame this. That tells you the real - strength of character - someone has. When they are are really counted on - to act - to help out others - when they are in dire need of help - and he refused to help. Is a serious - character flaw.
The parliamentary security staff - again - are afraid of the politicians. That's something - their actions were also deficient. In that they should have stopped Lehrmann & Higgins entering the building - it was to late at 2.00am in the morning - and what work could they do - affected by alcohol. The matter reported to their respective - bosses. Clearly to anyone else - you could see what was going to happen.
His other great failure was not taking climate change seriously. And he got that call wrong. Meaning - he should have had out - his alternative plan - and had nuclear energy - already being developed in Australia. That he took a holiday overseas - while Australia was in the middle of some of the worst bush fires seen.
Scott can say what he likes about himself. Again he's a slithering suit liberal party man. He failed to act at critical points in his leadership. That show serious lapses of judgement - given his personal religious beliefs. Those sort of people - blame God. When they forget they are ones - who had the responsibility and failed to act. Tells the real story of his attitude towards others. You only see how - he betrayed Malcolm Turbull and Peter Dutton - by pitting them against each other - Turnbull knew he could beat Dutton. He never saw - Morrison playing them both off - each other - for his benefit. He multi-minsterial portfolio - swearing in - in secret. He was ambitious - and he was also deeply flawed.
Scott might have been good on the attack and defense. He just never took care of the business - that really needed - to put away issues - that showed - he really did not care about others.
