Gidget Foundation CEO Arabella Gibson says it is "so important" to raise awareness of perinatal depression and anxiety.
This comes after The CEO Magazine's 10th annual Executive of the Year Awards was held this week, with the Gidget Foundation winning the Not-For-Profit Executive of the Year award.
"There's nearly 56,000 charities in Australia, so for the Gidget Foundation to have that kind of acknowledgement, endorsement about our work, is really special," Ms Gibson told Sky News Australia.
"We had an opportunity to provide services for people, and that's what we've done over the past 21 years, and to have this kind of, the shining of the light on perinatal depression and anxiety is so important for our community."
