The same thing as this one from a few years ago, not a problem just over excited reporting as usual. https://youtu.be/9KhZwsYtNDE?si=CNejFOft39lXhxC6

Not that big a deal with competent pilots
@johnnixon9444 Says:
Wow I’m surprised the media called it an actual bird strike and not a drone
@gecko-sb1kp Says:
Well I guess I'm confident enough now to go book a ticket. Lost my virginity to QANTAS long ago. Was ready to give Virgin a good plug but others have done it for me...

Boings exploding and going down world wide. Don’t worry, all whistle blowers have been handled. Nothing to see here 😅
@v1rotait23 Says:
My goodness, there are some dumb-arse comments from uneducated ignorant people in this thread, but that's normal for anything to do with aviation! Not helped by the useless media misconstruing yet another minor plane incident where the crew just went about their standard emergency procedures shutting down an engine which had likely injested some "flying KFC", and some feathers and bones got thrown out the back with some extra bbq flames and maybe some expensive turbine blade parts! 🐦🦆🪶
@Kiran_Nath Says:
When people say an aircraft fire is the last thing you want what they are really talking about are onboard fires like from lithium ion batteries combusting. The engine fire is self-contained and often can still operate at reduced functionality unless rendered completely disabled, which doesn't matter because these 737 planes fly just as well with only one engine.

Someone not doing their job... this should never have happened in the first place! As with most criminal activity, there is no logical answer to the ubiquitous question...WHY?...OTHER THAN NOT HOLDING PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
@johnsweeney6072 Says:
It’s the flight crew that everyone complains to bitches at. But to have someone that shares the same fate as you stay calm and still do their job is beyond incredible 👍🇦🇺
@RoxyCloud28 Says:
A lot of news about airplanes problems around the world lately 😲🤔
@pascoe65 Says:
WORSE BITS BEING STRANDED IN NEW ZEALAND 🤣
@wotan20 Says:
Operating with one engine is the most practiced emergency by pilots on simulators. Still, it's awesome that everything went smoothly. Would've been nice to know, how the stranded passengers rich their destination? Was their any compensation offered by the airline for the inconvenience and the excitement?
@johnsalaman1315 Says:
Birds huh???????
@alrent2992 Says:
Boeing 🙄
@markandkim66 Says:
Really, Sky News. A lot of over kill in the heading. That’s probably why you’re the worst news channel going around. Your slogan “real news, honest views” really isn’t that honest, now is it.
@StarFleet_Tech1701 Says:
Must be a Boeing plane!
@godislove4540 Says:
Bad timing as Boeing has to meet with the Senate tomorrow. 😳
@paulbrimo4437 Says:
2 Boeing whistleblowers killed so far. “A Virgin Australia plane has landed safely in New Zealand after a fire shut down one of its engines. The Boeing 737-800 jet was bound for Melbourne, with 67 passengers and six crew members on board, when the engine fire forced a diversion to Invercargill Airport in New Zealand.2 hours ago”
@davidharris2519 Says:
People people its a compressor stall on a engine the whole plane didnt catch fire and BOEING DOESNT MAKE ENGINES SO ITS NOT BOEING FAULT
@davidharris2519 Says:
the plane didnt catch fire the engine surged and flames were seen coming from the engine just the engine
@thinkabit7264 Says:
The plane wasn't on fire you numpties -it is a compressor stall caused by bird ingestion. The compressor airflow is disrupted because of the damage caused by the bird bits and this causes the puff of flame from the hot section exhaust. Just a tip - jet engines are always on fire inside - that's how they work...
@conservative-ku3lz Says:
Another Boeing.
@avivacohen8785 Says:
Perhaps since your country doesn't step up in vocal support for Israel, GOD is saying that you will suffer Please I beg of everyone to raise your voices in great support for Israel. Israel is suffering. Please help
@BritKidWithAGun Says:
I guess this gives Boeing a rest from allegations
@troycassidy6177 Says:
Boeing needs to ground everything and fix the problems with qualified staff.
@Bluediamond200 Says:
Do birds fly in the dark 🤔
@AscendantStoic Says:
How the fuck does Boeing keep getting away with this, specially after TWO dead whistleblowers, these bastards need to be thoroughly investigated.
@deepthoughts8393 Says:
I’d get high with bong not plane
@thedave7760 Says:
Its a called compressor stall it happens all the time and no one was in danger, the plane did not catch fire.
@davidpeters6536 Says:
Another 737, with whose engines?
@RatTerminator Says:
Boeing again!!
@CAPEjkg Says:
Come on, folks, it's just a compressor stall. Happens , and it can fly on one engine. Media makes it so dramatic.
@RatTerminator Says:
What brand of plane ?
@stevej6813 Says:
I don’t get why the media has to point out that nobody was injured. An injury would be impossible unless someone was sitting on the rear of the engine that threw out flames. We don’t need to be told nobody was injured when we know nobody could've been. 🙄
@MrOptimusheath Says:
Air plane? fly high in the sky? Count me out.
@rumblethis2023 Says:
Sure the terrible media will be jumping on being again for something that the crew handled very well.
@tonchanthol5329 Says:
😢😢😢
@seasonedbeefs Says:
Boeing?
@encinobalboa Says:
Compressor stall. No Boeing's fault...this time.
@ghall7763 Says:
Compressor stall…
@rdl8878 Says:
The 737 is one of the safest and most reliable aircraft. This is bizarre.
@laurielaurie8280 Says:
Glad they are all okay.

@andylaauk Says:
DEI strikes again, but don't worry we've ticked all those boxes, your pilot is a woman she/her, the cabin crew are made up of queer, no-binary, transgender and otherkin.
