@redean2011 Says:
Shouldn’t you say his “alleged” father?
@Cantstanduntruths Says:
Wasn’t it a black kid or an immigrant ?
@Garfield-l5m Says:
If arresting the parent for the 'alleged' criminal actions of their child is normal legal practice then why wasn't the parents of the Columbine mass shooting also arrested?
@donotcomply665 Says:
But didn't the guns kill those kids, why would they charge people for that?
@gw5436 Says:
To all those bright sparks knee-jerking blame on the father... Does this mean that you also agree that if parents gift their kids a car when they can legally drive, that they are responsible if the kids kills someone due to negligence? Oh, the self-righteousness of todays people, no wonder we are judged for anything and everything.

When we raised our two sons, my husband would not allow firearms in our home...As my husband explained, many teenage boys have problems dealing with relationships and get very upset easily....Anger causes hostility, especially in homes where the parents are not disciplined...Alcoholism, drug abuse and abuse of children are rampant in many homes...Buying a child a gun is a bad move for a parent...To me this shows that this parents is not living in reality....Only responsible parents should own guns, not children.
@johns280 Says:
This thinking can be taken to other extremes. You buy your teenager a car and crashes it and kills someone. Second degree murder? He definitely did something stupid but 2 degree murder? The sins of the son became the sins of the father. Dangerous precedent.
@memyself1952 Says:
As an American who supports the second amendment and the right to own guns I agree with this father being charged. This is not 1996. This is not an unknown or unforeseen phenomenon and as a gun owner you need to follow the law and be responsible for your firearms. I am sorry that this man is having to deal with the emotions around what his son has done but he helped facilitate mass murder and needs to also deal with rhe consequence.
@johnskelton5683 Says:
The father sits there rocking back and forth, obviously under stress. Under stress from it all and certainly under stress of not getting his next fix! 😮
@johnskelton5683 Says:
This boy, the fourteen year old shooter has junkies for parents. This man charged along with the mother are drug addicts who raised their son abusively with servere beatings and abandonment forcing him out of the house into the Georgia cold of night as a child, small boy. This father along with the mother should be charged with any and all legal charges that can be brought against them! 😮
@scallums Says:
The kid was caught in the act with the weapon... You can drop the ALLEGED .
@iscariom Says:
In the United States, persons less than 18 years of age may only receive and possess handguns with the written permission of a parent or guardian for limited purposes: employment, ranching, farming, target practice or hunting. The FBI previously investigated the kid and did nothing. The father is well within his rights to purchase a firearm for his son for the aforementioned reasons. While the boy is not legally able to make his own decisions, he is still old enough to distinguish right from wrong. )
@grahamjones5400 Says:
Sky News should worry about Australia instead of barking orders at America. We dont want your monarchy .
@tommyjones6047 Says:
Only feel bad for the father because he might die in jail.
@kathyking9135 Says:
The father purchased the firearm for the son as a holiday gift. He, therefore, is responsible for the son being in possession of an AR style weapon. If not for the father, this might not have happened. So he is just as responsible as the son.
@Jimmy009-st8mm Says:
At least in America they hold the parents accountable for their feral offspring, in Australia they just bail repeatedly, home invaders,car jackers , recidivist offenders so they can commit more crimes while their welfare dependant parents claim take no responsibility for their offspring 😂😂😂
@esterherschkovich6499 Says:
Heartbreaking 💔 💔 😢for the families. A child should not have a gun!!!Am sure the father has regrets...
@brendasmith6418 Says:
It's ridiculous that the crooked law would charge the parent.
@martinepstein3332 Says:
A person has been accused of a very serious crime, so to comment could jeopardise a fair trial
@unsilent369 Says:
Kids should have ZERO access to firearms.
@scwps23 Says:
It's already happening again. The media is trying to cover for another Transgender murderer. Much like they did with the transgender murderer in the Tennessee school shooter deaths.
@Genesis-007 Says:
The FBI knew about this kid since last year and an eyewitness said there was a 2nd shooter at the school, there's more to be uncovered yet.
@scwps23 Says:
It's a murder trial not a aledged murder trial.

@onealbarnes596 Says:
Don't get me wrong because this is awful. But why they don't treat those illegals emergents for the same reason when they killed all of those people they have killed and let all of them go.
@ohwell2790 Says:
If his son is found quilty the father will go to jail too. A fine son he has that would do that to their father.
@grahamtempleton6479 Says:
Ho hum, no doubt thoughts and prayers will fix all this.
