The only thing which I imagine would cause YT to stop promoting it, is that it portrays an image of Trump hugging the flag.
My point, is this, if Social Media is not the modern day bulletin board, town hall, or public forum... then what is?
How are we changing definitions for a progressive and modern age, and not hyper focused on the reality that Social Media is the Modern Public Forum, and if you so choose to OWN such a platform, that you are BOUND by the 1st Ammendment?
On Berkeley's campus there is a small hole in the concrete, just near the fountain and the police station, called "The Free Speech Zone".
I always found it odd that Berkeley.. the FREE SPEECH UNIVERSITY if you will, maintains this small 6 inch circle of space.
Freedom of Speech exists ALL AROUND that little "zone"....
telling students, that that location is where they can speak freely, LITERALLY shows that in their minds, Freedom of Speech DOES NOT exist outside of that "zone".
This is what our Government and their supporting Technocracy has done to us with Social Media.
I challenge all of you, to push for Social Media to be legally deemed a PUBLIC FORUM and thus protected by the 1st Ammendment.
If everyone can't use it as a soapbox, then no one can... we don't allow politicians to rule us as if they are Kings and Pharaoh's, we don't allow corporations and foreign investors to infringe upon our Unalienable Human Rights.
They go to WAR over money, yet you and I can't FIGHT over words.
