The Queensland system of government doesn't have a senate. That means whoever is elected to power can rule as a virtual dictator and is a reason why Queensland governments have, in the past, been so corrupt. Giving them a 4 year term under that system has made the situation worse. If North Queensland can get its own state it will have a senate.

BIG mistake getting rid of Senator Rennick LNP lost my vote due to that and hopefully many other votes.
