At least eight dead after festival crowd surge in Texas
At least eight people have died and multiple others have been injured after a crowd surge at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas. A surge and compression of the crowd toward the stage while rapper Travis Scott was performing resulted in panic and injuries. There were 17 people transported to local hospitals, with 11 of those suffering from cardiac arrest. Over 300 people have been treated at a field hospital near the festival.
