Congressman Ronny Jackson – the former physician to three presidents - said after he called for Joe Biden to take a cognitive test to prove his mental fitness, Barack Obama 'tore' him up in a 'scathing email'.
The dispute originated after Dr Jackson questioned the mental fitness of US President Joe Biden.
Speaking on the podcast 'Grounded with Jim Banks' where he spoke about how his call for Joe Biden to take a test led to a bitter exchange with his former boss.
'I just retweeted whatever they had said – whatever Biden had done – and tweeted 'WOW does anybody remember the cognitive test that I gave Donald Trump, looks like someone else needs a test'.
'I drove down the road another twenty minutes and I get an email from President Obama – a scathing email – he just tore me up.
'It was an entire page about how disappointed he was in me and how it was beneath me as a physician and beneath me as an officer in the military to be attacking Joe Biden like this and it was a betrayal of the trust that he and his administration had put in me.
'[He said] he was so disappointed in me and he hoped I would do a better job in the future.'
In June Congressman Jackson wrote a formal letter to President Biden urging him to take a cognitive test.
"The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their President,' the letter read.
'They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties demanded of the office, and they deserve to have full transparency on the mental state of their highest elected leader.'
The Texas congressman continued to express his concerns about President Biden's mental fitness – urging he is 'incapable' of doing the top job.
'It is very obvious to everyone in the country right now that this guy has some cognitive issues,' he said on the podcast.
'I am not his physician, I am not diagnosing him, I haven't examined him – all I know is that he has aged related cognitive decline and that he is not mentally fit.
'I know what this job entails both physically and mentally and how demanding it is and I can tell you right now I am 100 per cent sure that Joe Biden is incapable of doing that job.'
