Asset Energy will lobby the federal and New South Wales government to overturn a decision to block its offshore gas project.
The company is challenging former prime minister Scott Morrison's decision to refuse the proposal, amid revelations he used secret ministerial powers to overrule then Resources Minister Keith Pitt.
Asset Energy is promising to direct all its reserves to the domestic market to address supply shortfalls if the approval is granted.
Mr Morrison's decision to reject the proposal is being reviewed in federal court.
