Thorpe exit from Greens could 'make life tricky' for PM
Senator Lidia Thorpe's departure from the Greens party could 'make life tricky' for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese amid her opposition to the Voice to Parliament proposal, says Senior Political Reporter Trudy Mcintosh. The Labor government must win the support of most of the Senate in order to pass the Voice to Parliament referendum proposal. 'Up until now, he's only had to rely on the Greens, plus one independent senator, if they don't have the support of the opposition,' Ms Mcintosh told Sky News Australia. 'But now that will be a process of the Greens plus two independent senators.'
