Senator Lidia Thorpe's departure from the Greens party could 'make life tricky' for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese amid her opposition to the Voice to Parliament proposal, says Senior Political Reporter Trudy Mcintosh.
The Labor government must win the support of most of the Senate in order to pass the Voice to Parliament referendum proposal.
'Up until now, he's only had to rely on the Greens, plus one independent senator, if they don't have the support of the opposition,' Ms Mcintosh told Sky News Australia.
'But now that will be a process of the Greens plus two independent senators.'

so Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islands people can cast a vote to elect an indigenous candidate to be an elected member of the proposed voice body to parliament?
Especially when there is not in existence a clear transparent definition as to when is an Aboriginal an eligible Aboriginal to vote and when is a Torres Strait Islander an eligible Torres Strait Islander to vote.
And further more how will the Federal Electoral Commissioner apply a validity test to applicants enrolling to vote.
There are two very clear determining factors.
These is inheritance and eligibility,
If a person cannot prove 50% or 50%+ of indigenous inheritance in the lineage of their family tree they cannot claim eligibility
Will a credible indigenous persons only electoral roll be MISSION IMPOSSIBLE for any Federal Electoral Commissioner?
NO VOICE MODEL = NO VOICE VOTE.
