Costs of RAT tests to be split between Commonwealth and state governments
Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the Commonwealth will share the costs of rapid antigen tests 50-50 with the state governments. "Where a RAT test would now be required rather than a PCR test, state governments, as always - responsible for securing the RAT tests, providing them to people directly, and we'll share the cost 50-50 with the state government," Mr Morrison said during a media conference on Wednesday. He also said the federal government has received $375 million in additional funds to procure further rapid antigen tests as part of the national stockpile.
