Come on Steve. Where were you when gas companies were secretly sinking wells through the great artesian basin in rich farmlands in northern NSW? Once the aquifer is polluted - that’s it - agriculture is dead in many parts of Australia. The community eventually used people power to push the gas companies out against the wishes of government and gas corporations. Not a peep from Sky over the issue.

Recent adds state that they are using Natural Gas to fill in when "renewables" aren't available.
They imply they can just turn it on and off anytime. WRONG a Gas Powerplant uses the same method as a coal plant.
It generates Steam to drive Turbines, it takes time to bring a boiler up to working pressure, you can't "Just turn it on and off"
The ONLY reason we need to "Turn generation ON/OFF" is because "Renewables" are so UNRELIABLE, Sun shines one minute and goes behind clouds the next, wind blows and drops ALL totally UNPREDICTABLE

As a solar installer I see ag pump solar arrays working out ok. Not perfect but ok. Pretty robust sitting in a field and easily accessed. But this is California. I still see the problems in systems. But mostly in the Bureaucracy. It should be easier for the person to switch their electrical metering/billing over to solar/storage metering billing without 1 million confusing questions in the forced requirement to get a stamp from an electrical engineer for UL listed electrical parts. Monkeys can plug these together. They are that easy now. But the systems do need to get better. And cheaper*. And they need to be American made( well those mods for here).
Think of them as refrigerators plugged in on the roof. ..... they are that easy and safe to install nowadays.
It’s the codes. The green book stuff. The bureaucracy. And the expensive panels from other countries. What a rip off. But the worst thing is how you can buy an entire system put it on your roof and then never be able to reap the rewards because the rate changes basically force you back into buying the system and buying the safety of still being connected to the grid. So unfair to increase( modify) rates like what has occurred.
It’s wrong.
I know I did not explain these comms with examples but do your own research. I’ll chat up resi type EV chargers too if you got the time.
