Yes, it's disappointing the Games aren't in Victoria and that a major part of the funds for the Games will still be provided by Australia. However, the cost of going ahead was far bigger, so it's a saving to Australia

Melbourne held the Commonwealth Games in 2006 , it's absurd nonsense that these Games would have cost $7 Billion . All the Venues for all the Sports are already there . The only cost would be an Athlete 's Village because 2006 Athlete 's Village has become Private Housing . The cost for that would be less than the fine the idiots paid , Crown Land costs nothing, the government already owns it , prefabricated Housing is dirt cheap , they have all the Sports Venues , so how the Hell does it cost $7 billion ?
