The US and Canada together with their Western allies are keeping their human right abuses out of media coverage while the accuse other nations, to divert attention from what they are doing.
In many native American settlement areas, there are limited developments and there are convenient liquor stores and casinos to divest the natives of their money and causes them to be drunk and numb in order to destroy them with slow deaths.

But truth be told, the right to vote in political elections is only a process, and not the end in itself. Can a competent government be admitted to office when the choice of candidates on offer are metaphorically ‘primates from the same circus’?
Unfortunately, there is a massive price to pay for the lack of congruence of adjectives amongst the constituents of the political power base deeply divided by the oligarchs and partisan politics. The phenomena of a dysfunctional government is looming like an elephant in the room. As the oligarchs and their subservient political elite compete to outdo each other in order to perpetuate their own vested interest, it crowded out the larger interest of the nation. Especially, the 99%.
Political lobbying is a big industry in the United States. According to James Thurber, there are about 100,000 lobbyists working in this industry which brings in $9 billion annually.
“The special interest lobbying enhanced the power of elite groups. And that was a key factor shifting the nation's political structure toward an oligarchy in which the average Americans have little or no independent influence,” observed Martin Gilens and Benjamin in their 2014 study.
That is not people’s democracy. Period!
