Hills Shire Mayor Dr Peter Gangemi says the 'time for talking's over' and action is required to raise the Warragamba Dam wall to prevent flooding in the Hawkesbury and Nepean region.
"When it comes to flooding along the Hawkesbury Nepean river, the cost of mitigation will always be less than the cost of recovery in terms of these major floods,' Dr Gangemi told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
'We don't need any more reports � we don't want to see another flood.'
I wonder how many property owners who will have heir land bought out for the new dam are calling for raising the wall.
