The setup costs/infrastructure for windfarms is far too expensive, full stop! The Federal government can't just offset the setup costs by putting up the money to start it all up in the hope that investors get involved. Invest instead in best-practice coal/gas/nuclear for effective, reliable energy supply.

Solar panels have cadmium and lead in them, that apparently leaches out, hail damage also releases these onto your roof and into your rainwater tank or onto the ground and into the water table. coal is safe, give base line power for new manufacturing industries, like smelting metal or running machinery in factories. Britain is getting covered in wind turbines. I have some behind my house they just started working again for 4 weeks they did not move once. The swindle though here is the economic paradigm being employed. Renewables work best when you've got oversupply plus excess storage. That's when the price of power goes to zero.
But the government actually doesn't want that, because this drives away investors.
So it's the consumer who ends up paying. That's the swindle.
