So what your saying is can fly to a dangerous country with warnings and get a free ticket back here?
@ChrisM-fz6xx Says:
Government Travel Warnings ? Like the American Government Travel Warnings for Americans NOT to visit Australia after the Bondi Massacre ? FYI you mindless idiot , Airlines were charging People $ 25,000 Each for a one-way Flight from Beirut to Sydney . That's why the Government supplied free travel for Australian Citizens but you already know that don't you . Peanut .

@SherylSchrantz Says:
Why are Aussie taxpayers paying for grubs..pay for your own air flight!!
@snuggles03 Says:
It’s symptomatic of a vulgar sense of self entitlement that they can go overseas, put themselves in danger, ignore government advice and then expect the Australian government to do the near impossible to get them out of a dangerous situation. They should pay.
@dont_listen_to_Albo Says:
In 1994, a volcanic eruption in Rabaul (Papua New Guinea) stranded several Australian citizens there. There was no Australian government effort to evacuate them. The difference is that the persons affected are of Chinese descent, not Middle Easterners, so they didn’t deserve any sympathy.
@skeletorrobo Says:
Not allowed to not like it.
@pacnbeans Says:
How can Christians and Muslims live side by side in peace in Lebanon but not in Israel ?
@creditelectric Says:
Birmingham while seeming plausible, calm & logical is playing to those who like to ignore how quickly the situation escalated & many Lebanese may have been there for family reasons, Lebanon has not exactly been the #1 holiday destination for some time prior to October 7.The government has done the right thing.
@MrPerson-e7u Says:
They're both as retarded
@lukei6255 Says:
Tax return next year will fix the issue.
@MrPerson-e7u Says:
Bella Ramsey or Grogu?
@whiskeygamer9402 Says:
Waste of money
@jujumaccas Says:
They’re ‘Australian’ by passport only. We should get rid of dual citizenship and then see where they want to live.
@MrPopo-nn7kp Says:
Imagine the rage if we spent the same amount of money on them as we give to Israel or Ukraine
@kathrynanneperry4651 Says:
Yet serving IDF soldiers are allowed to fly in and out of the country? Dual Australian/ Israeli citizens fighting for another country??? How is this legal??
@richardsoane6192 Says:
typical
@dogzdigital Says:
What is this clown talking about? Has a single person asked for a free ride home? This is just more of Sky news trying to sow division.
@Super_Mario128 Says:
Birmingham a LINO, needs to be gotten rid of.
@Colt3854 Says:
They have known for over 12 months of the impending war zone, and they want to stay in Lebanon? And then expect a free ride home at the expense of the Australian taxpayer. Every cent of cost should be payed back. No free rides.
@UTClans_UTZ Says:
Many individuals need the correct definition and understanding of the term repatriation. Whom and what is being repatriated ?
@tomobedlam297 Says:
Yeah, but miss out on the Bayroot Costco sale?! No way!🤣
@747dashify Says:
the only people entitled to a free flight are people that are there on Australia's behalf. Consular staff etc. They've created a dangerous precedent where people will stay too long in dangerous situations and then expect the government to fly them out of warzones. A year into a war and you're still there?
@dmarshall8366 Says:
But not from Ukraine? The bigotry never ends.
@avemaria2546 Says:
I completely agree, these Australians still over in these war torn countries, when the government has warned them of the impending dangers, should not be give FREE flights home, at the end of the day, it’s not free at all, the taxpayers foot the bill, people need to be responsible for their actions
@docjoei2224 Says:
There should never be ‘free’ flights? Why should the tax payer pay?
@KIA-MIA-POW Says:
Birmingham says exactly what all intelligent folk are saying. Ignore DFAT travel advisories at your peril...
