OPEC has agreed to increase oil output in July in a bid to push down surging petrol prices around the world.
The organisation and its allies agreed to boost oil production by 648,000 barrels per day - higher than its previous monthly increases of 432,000 barrels per day.
OPEC can see the writing on the wall. Oil consumption will plunge with adoption of electric vehicles. So make hay while the sun shines because it'll take a while before that happens so throttling oil supply to keep the price high and keep the money rolling in. I doubt you'll ever see petrol below $2/l again.
