Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says those in the state who want to live like normal people must get vaccinated, following the state government's announcement.
Fully vaccinated people in Queensland will have new freedoms when it reaches the 80 per cent level, expected by December 17.
'It's a real wake up call,' Mr Gleeson said.
'If you're not vaccinated in Queensland and you want to live like normal people do, you better go and get vaccinated.'
