Australian Medical Association President Dr Steve Robson says we have the opportunity to 'rejig' and 'modernise' Medicare for Australians with bulk billing becoming less accessible.
'It's very hard to get in to see a general practitioner at the moment � general practitioners just can't afford to run their practices and do a large amount of bulk billing,' Dr Robson told Sky News Australia.
'It's very important to have clear data to help guide us, but at the end of the day I think the community experience is important and we need to address where the problems lie in people being able to get into a GP and see a GP affordably.'
