The Australian business columnist Terry McCrann says at the very least Australians need a broad outline from the Prime Minister and Treasurer of what the jobs and skills summit aims to achieve.
'They promised an issues paper ahead of the jobs summit, I haven't seen it � which is supposed to outline exactly what this jobs summit will try to achieve and how it'll go about it,' Mr McCrann told Sky News host Chris Smith.
He said we need policies that will actually deliver jobs and 'encourage business to create the jobs of the future'.
'Which are the high-value, the high-skill, and obviously jobs that are particularly relevant to the 21st century, not try to go back to the 20th century.'
