Drastic plan being considered to fix NSW teacher shortage
A drastic plan is being considered in New South Sales to fix the state's teacher shortage. A parliamentary committee, headed by NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham, is promoting a plan to have teachers work from 8am to 5pm, including during school holidays. The proposal would require staff to stay on school grounds during their work hours in return for a pay increase of at least 10 per cent.
