Travel chaos continued for Boxing Day holidaymakers with ongoing flight cancellations caused by the large number of frontline staff being forced to test for COVID-19 and isolate.
Jetstar cancelled 16 flights and 19 were delayed while Virgin scrapped eight flights and delayed 19 by Sunday afternoon.
However, Qantas has said it was unaffected.
The cancellations did not only happen in Australia as more than 6,000 flights were grounded worldwide over the Christmas period.
