Australia is 'so far behind the game' on interest rate rises
Independent economist Warren Hogan says Australia is 'so far behind the game' on interest rate rises. Australia's current interest rate sits at 3.1 per cent, with the Reserve Bank to make its next rate decision on Tuesday. 'It seems high for us because we come from such a low level,' Mr Hogan told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood. 'If we don't get a wiggle on, there's a chance that in the middle of this year, our economy's running away from us, and they have to slam on the brakes hard.'
