Spoke to my friend who lives in Hamburg, and this is not much in the news there. The rapes were some time ago, and there was much outrage at the time that 8 of the 9 got suspended sentences... but this new issue of a harasser getting jail time now for the rapist that got probation is not being covered there. Overall though I love Germany and Hamburg is a wonderful place... and overall their rape stats versus the US are 3x lower. But a very sad story nonetheless.
